Description

Elizabeth Hixenbaugh (dir.-writer) is casting Maxine, a State University New York, Purchase College junior thesis film. The film is a dark comedy about an elderly lady, Maxine, who attempts to overcome her loneliness by trying to connect with her grandchildren through the internet. Shooting Jan. 2nd-4th 2010.

Seeking—
Maxine: female, 60-85, a widow who has lived alone for many years, desperate to reach out and connect with her grandchildren.

Benjamin: male, 12, a slightly awkward boy who is very into technology.

Annie: female, 45, is detail-oriented, cares how her family is perceived by the outside world.

Susan: female, 14, very self-adsorbed at this age, unaware of her insensitivity to others around her.

Mary: female, 60-85, spends most of her energy trying to impress her grandchildren.

Frank: male, 47, a businessman.
